TL;DR

Focus on maintaining mechanical, electrical, control, refrigeration, and production utility systems, solving equipment issues through data-driven troubleshooting, and guiding junior technicians.

Location: Facility-based role in Boulder, Colorado, with collaboration with teams in Lexington, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $87,800–$105,200 base compensation per year, plus eligibility for a company performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Support preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for facility, refrigeration, HVAC/R, utility, and process equipment.
  • Perform site rounds, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, cleaning, and housekeeping for assigned areas.
  • Document maintenance activities in CMMS and communicate status through the appropriate channels.
  • Partner with process owners to improve equipment performance, reliability, and compliant operations.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, qualification, and training activities for site utilities, systems, and controls.
  • Participate in planning and executing plant shutdown activities and guide junior technicians in specialized areas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of experience; equivalent pathways include an associate degree with 2+ years or a bachelor’s degree with 0+ years.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including the ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with HVAC/R, refrigeration, air-handling equipment, exhaust fans, leak detection and repair, control wiring, and production utility systems.
  • Experience with 120V–480V electrical systems, electronic batch records, automated process equipment, and/or BMS and FMS systems.
  • Experience with CMMS, GDP/cGMP documentation and standards, systematic troubleshooting, work planning, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work rotating, night, extended, and weekend shifts, remain on feet for up to 12 hours, work at heights or in confined spaces, and operate in cold, loud, hazardous, or outdoor environments.

Nice to have

  • EPA 608 universal certification.
  • Experience with HEPA filtration, air balancing, VFD troubleshooting, purified water systems, and advanced utility systems.
  • Experience leading and guiding fellow technicians.
