Solutions Architect (Aviation)

Location: Carlsbad, California, United States

Salary: $120,500–$190,000 annually. For specific work locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $149,500–$224,500 annually.

What you will do

• Architect end-to-end broadband connectivity, connected-aircraft, and service monetization solutions for commercial and business aviation.
• Analyze internal and external technology environments, enterprise deployments, and technology roadmaps.
• Analyze and document product requirements and identify cross-functional dependencies.
• Craft solutions for quick go-to-market opportunities and align them with platform development roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Systems Architecture, Development, Business teams, vendors, platform integrators, and end users.
• Define solutions iteratively to address customer problems and market needs throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of Systems Engineering or related experience.
• 5+ years of application development experience across test, systems, software, or hardware.
• Strong wireless communications systems expertise and experience with platform solution design and integration.
• Ability to work with end users and present technical information effectively.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Communication system architecture and design experience.
• Experience leading technical teams and associated program activities.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and create clear direction for others.
