Location: Hybrid; may be based in Mojave, CA, Huntsville, AL, or another approved location. Frequent domestic and international travel is required.
Salary: $209,000β$225,000 per year, plus eligibility for up to a 15% annual bonus.

What you will do
- Identify and mature new business opportunities with Business Development, Government Relations, Advanced Programs, and Engineering leadership.
- Develop technical concepts, solution architectures, product roadmaps, schedules, and integrated development plans.
- Align customer opportunities with the technology roadmap and internal IR&D investments.
- Transition internally developed technologies into customer-funded programs through capture planning, technical engagement, and cross-functional coordination.
- Support white papers, technical volumes, customer briefings, and proposal development.
- Coordinate the transition from capture and award into program execution with Program Management.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in aerospace, defense, advanced technology development, or related industries.
- Bachelorβs degree in engineering, physics, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related STEM discipline.
- Experience leading complex technical initiatives across multiple organizations and working with executive, government, and technical stakeholders.
- Experience with government capture efforts, proposal development, strategic business growth, technology transition, or new product development.
- Knowledge of systems engineering, aerospace system development, product lifecycle management, DoD acquisition processes, and defense contracting.
- Must be willing and able to obtain a security clearance. U.S. citizenship may be required for some government-cleared or otherwise restricted positions.
Nice to have
- Masterβs degree in a relevant STEM discipline.
- Experience with hypersonic systems, flight testing, advanced aerospace development, or organizations such as DoD, DARPA, AFRL, and NASA.
