Quality Specialist III - CMM Programming (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the Production and Test facility in Briggs, Texas, north of Cedar Park

What you will do

• Develop and execute detailed Zeiss Calypso inspection programs for qualification and flight hardware.
• Inspect launch vehicle and spacecraft components and sub-assemblies using Zeiss CMM and advanced metrology equipment.
• Maintain tool control, calibration processes, and validation of metrology systems.
• Support technical operations and provide quality guidance as an additional technical resource.
• Improve product quality and inspection efficiency through structured improvement plans.
• Support manufacturing compliance with customer, internal, contractual, and mission requirements while applying 5S and Lean initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience programming with Zeiss Calypso software.
• Ability to read technical information and drawings and understand specifications, GD&T, quality-control documentation, and applicable standards.
• Experience with aerospace quality, military, or government standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, teamwork, and ability to follow technical instructions.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or higher in quality, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with PC-DMIS or Inspire.
• ASME Y14.5 Professional or Technologist certification.
• Experience applying quality-assurance principles, inspection techniques, and quality-control equipment.
• Experience with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
