What you will do

• Create process plans, standard operating procedures, inspection plans, work-holding designs, and supporting manufacturing documentation.
• Improve machining processes by developing and deploying new technologies and methodologies.
• Advise upstream engineering and design partners on design for manufacturability.
• Define manufacturing, fixturing, inspection methods, GD&T requirements, and datum structures for design concepts.
• Recommend design updates that improve manufacturability and support high-precision flight hardware production.
• Investigate non-conforming hardware, identify root causes, and determine corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a comparable STEM field.
• 8+ years of experience in machining.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, quality, or supply chain.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of metrology and dimensional inspection methods.
• Proficiency with CAD and CAM software.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of fixture design and stack-up analysis.
