TL;DR
Engineering Process Lead (Systems Engineering Governance): Owning and governing the engineering process framework across the systems lifecycle with an accent on requirements management, design governance, configuration control, change management, verification, and release processes. Focus on driving process adoption, improving engineering efficiency, using audits and performance data to strengthen compliance, and embedding traceable, audit-ready practices.

Location: Farnborough, United Kingdom; onsite five days per week. Right to work in the United Kingdom and eligibility for applicable UK Government and contractual personnel security and residency requirements are required.

What you will do

  • Own and govern the engineering process framework across the systems lifecycle.
  • Manage requirements, design governance, configuration control, change management, verification, and release processes.
  • Deploy, communicate, and train teams on engineering processes and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, root cause analysis, and process performance data.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, discipline, and programme stakeholders to streamline workflows and improve delivery outcomes.
  • Maintain process documentation and monitor compliance through KPIs, audits, and metrics.

Requirements

  • Experience in engineering process management, governance, or quality within complex engineering environments.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle processes and frameworks.
  • Experience implementing and improving processes aligned with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and meet applicable UK Government and contractual security, residency, and potentially nationality requirements.
