Base salary: $134,000–$201,000 USD per year for California

What you will do

  • Lead high-volume satellite programs from concept and qualification through full-rate production and flight.
  • Own program rate, yield, unit cost, technical roadmaps, and strategic production decisions.
  • Run multiple programs and make architectural and design-for-manufacturing trade-offs with Chief Engineers.
  • Coordinate manufacturing, supply chain, integration, and test teams while resolving production roadblocks.
  • Manage strategic suppliers and high-stakes subcontracts to protect schedule and margin.
  • Serve as the primary contact for commercial constellation operators and support proposals with Business Development and Strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in physics, mathematics, science, or another technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of program management experience and a record of owning technical programs, products, or teams end to end.
  • Experience moving hardware and software from prototype to high-rate production with measurable yield, throughput, and cost improvements.
  • Knowledge of takt time, line-of-balance, design-for-manufacturing, and learning-curve economics.
  • Experience identifying and mitigating tooling, supply-chain, and yield risks.
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. work authorization or applicable ITAR authorization is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience scaling satellite, aerospace, defense, or similarly complex hardware production.
  • Experience transitioning low-volume prototypes to full-rate production while maintaining mission reliability.
  • Master’s degree in engineering, operations, or a related field.
  • Experience with systems engineering, trade studies, interface control, requirements integrity, Jira, Confluence, and ERP/MRP.
  • Multiple aerospace or defense program cycles.
