Customer Success Engineer, Robotics Software and Automation (C++/Python)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States; frequent domestic travel is required to support customer engagements across North America.

Base salary: $132,000–$180,400 USD per year, plus a 15% bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with customers and internal teams to deliver complex robotic automation engagements.
• Conceptualize industrial automation solutions and scope their path into production.
• Design, implement, test, and maintain software based on hirify.global’s product.
• Enable customers to apply the product effectively and progress projects independently.
• Own communication and alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Connect customer feedback with the wider team to help shape the product roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience delivering modern industrial automation solutions into production, debugging issues, navigating ambiguity, and driving results.
• End-to-end understanding of industrial automation systems and scalable customer solutions.
• Professional software development experience with C++ and/or Python.
• Experience working closely with users as part of a forward-deployed team.
• Professional fluency in English and willingness to travel frequently within North America.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial robot programming, including Fanuc, KUKA, UR, ABB, or Yaskawa.
• PLC programming, machine vision, industrial bus systems such as EtherCAT, virtual commissioning, or simulation.
• Cloud-native and distributed systems technologies, including Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, Bazel, or real-time architectures.
• Modern web frameworks such as Angular for responsive operator interfaces.
• ROS 2, its major frameworks, Gazebo, and multidisciplinary robotic systems deployment.
