Robotics Control Engineer (AI)

Location: Must be based in San Mateo, CA or Somerville, MA (On-site)

Salary: $200,000 – $350,000 + Equity

hirify.global is a robotics and AI startup building embodied foundation models to enable robots to intelligently interact with the physical world.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and test real-time control systems from low-level firmware to high-level input specifications.
• Own the software stack for a wide variety of robot embodiments, ranging from industrial co-bots to custom hardware.
• Collaborate with ML teams to translate model outputs into smooth, safe, and efficient robot actions.
• Work with hardware and partners to ensure optimal system dynamics and component behavior.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in rigid body kinematics and robotic controls.
• Proven experience bringing robots into production environments with stringent reliability requirements.
• Proficiency in high-performance, production-ready Python and C++.
• Experience with kinematics and simulation libraries.
• Familiarity with robotic middleware platforms such as ROS, ROS2, or ZCM.
