Senior/Staff Robotics Integration Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Onsite at the Santa Clara, California office

What you will do

• Lead integration of software and hardware components across autonomous driving systems.
• Develop and maintain system-level test plans, cases, and procedures for perception, navigation, and control.
• Conduct in-lab, simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and on-road testing across diverse operational scenarios.
• Create reproducible test scenarios using Gazebo and Carla.
• Debug sensor integration, data processing, and software-hardware communication issues.
• Analyze test data, perform root-cause analysis, optimize system performance, and automate validation workflows with Jenkins and Python.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in testing, validation, and integration of autonomous or robotic systems.
• Strong proficiency in ROS/ROS2, C++, and Python.
• Understanding of robotic perception, sensor fusion, and navigation systems.
• Experience with Gazebo, Carla, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and autonomous-vehicle sensors including LiDAR, radar, cameras, and IMUs.
• Experience analyzing logs and test data, troubleshooting systems, and preparing performance reports.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD and test automation for robotics or autonomous vehicle systems.
• Knowledge of machine learning and autonomous-driving perception algorithms.
• Background in data logging, data processing, and big data analysis.
• Experience with Linux, Docker, Git, and related robotics development tools.
