Strategic Sourcing Manager - Indirect Purchasing

Location: Richmond, British Columbia or Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Six-month contract with hybrid office work required Monday through Thursday.

Annual salary: $90,000–$115,000 CAD, prorated for the six-month contract.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end sourcing and purchasing activities for indirect goods and services across North America.
• Support capital equipment procurement through technical RFQs, vendor negotiations, and coordination with engineering and operations.
• Design and implement RFP, RFQ, and RFI sourcing events.
• Evaluate supplier bids and proposals, establish selection criteria, and recommend preferred vendors.
• Negotiate contract terms, manage supplier relationships, and prepare renewal strategies.
• Perform total-cost-of-ownership analysis and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• At least five years of strategic sourcing experience, including RFP, RFI, and RFQ processes.
• At least five years of pricing and contract negotiation experience.
• Intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel skills and intermediate PowerPoint and Word skills.
• Ability to work hybrid in the Richmond or Burlington office Monday through Thursday.

Nice to have

• SCMP or another supply chain or purchasing certification.
• Experience in high-tech industries.
• Experience sourcing manufacturing and IT equipment.
