Operational Excellence Specialist (AI)

Location: North York, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid with 3 days in office and 2 days remote

Salary: CAD 62,500–84,650 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Plan and implement projects that improve quality, reduce costs, and increase productivity across fulfillment centers and retail operations.
• Standardize fulfillment processes and share best practices across operations.
• Develop and maintain processes, training materials, performance metrics, and reporting.
• Apply safety, change management, continuous improvement, and lean frameworks to daily operations.
• Coordinate cross-functional warehousing initiatives, including peak preparation and continuous improvement projects.
• Use analysis and AI tools to identify process improvements, automate reporting, optimize workflows, and deploy operational agents.

Requirements

• Analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes, trends, opportunities, and the impact of operational changes.
• Hands-on experience across inbound receiving, quality inspection, outbound picking and packing, and returns processing.
• Experience owning metrics, building reporting, conducting time studies, piloting solutions, and monitoring results.
• Experience in fulfillment, warehousing, transport, or related operations, in an analytical or operational capacity.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, Google Suite, and Excel; strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, explain complex procedures clearly, coach and train colleagues, and adapt to ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma or project management certification, such as L6S Belt, CAPM, or PMP.
• A continuous improvement mindset and curiosity to identify and implement better ways of working.
