Principal Experience Designer (AI)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States of America. Relocation is available. Travel: 25%.

Salary: $147,050–$230,850 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for United States candidates.

What you will do

• Design intuitive, visually compelling interfaces for next-generation AI and HCI experiences.
• Translate complex technologies and abstract concepts into clear product experiences.
• Create high-fidelity UI designs, interaction flows, and rapid prototypes in Figma.
• Develop scalable design patterns and visual systems for experimentation and innovation.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, research, strategy, and design teams.
• Communicate design vision through storyboards, prototypes, and presentations while championing user-centered design.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in UX/UI, product design, or interaction design.
• High-level visual design skills and a strong portfolio of shipped digital products or concept work.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma for UI design, prototyping, and design systems.
• Strong knowledge of interaction design, information architecture, and usability principles.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in agile or iterative product environments.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills. A portfolio link is required with the application.

Nice to have

• Experience designing AI-driven or data-rich product experiences.
• Familiarity with HCI principles and emerging interaction paradigms.
• Experience contributing to design systems or working in 0→1 innovation environments.
• Motion, prototyping, or storytelling skills for communicating future product concepts.
