Principal User Experience Designer (SaaS)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; in-person onboarding and/or identity verification may be required

Salary: $130,000–$232,320 annual base salary for U.S.-based roles, with offers based on experience and geographic location

What you will do

• Define, design, and build experiences for exploring building data in the spatial context of 3D models.
• Design dashboards, viewer experiences, user management workflows, and other features for the Tandem Digital Twin platform.
• Engage with customers to validate assumptions, gather feedback, and refine product workflows.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers on visual and interaction design while balancing technical constraints, quality, and delivery speed.
• Create design artifacts that align product development, customer programs, sales, and marketing.
• Use customer usage, adoption metrics, and analytics to inform design decisions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional UX/UI design experience with cross-functional agile teams.
• Strong interaction, information architecture, visual design, systems thinking, facilitation, and design-thinking skills.
• Experience creating wireframes, visual designs, journey maps, and prototypes.
• Strong presentation and communication skills for working with customers, teammates, and executives.
• Expertise with Figma, Framer, Sketch, or similar design and prototyping tools.
• Online portfolio demonstrating solutions to complex design challenges; resume and portfolio access/password are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D products such as game design or architectural software.
• Experience designing data-rich or complex products and interactions, including CRM, dashboards, or healthcare products.
• Experience defining and building design systems.
