Engineer, Digital Design Verification (Signal Integrity ICs)

Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada — onsite.

Salary: $72,000–$82,000 annually.

hirify.global’s Signal Integrity Product Business Unit develops high-performance signal integrity ICs for data communications and video broadcast industries.

What you will do

• Perform functional verification of high-speed digital circuits using constrained-random verification methodologies.
• Develop behavioral models of analog circuits and perform mixed-level analog/digital simulations.
• Create product and technical documentation, project plans, and schedules.
• Provide technical guidance for verification tasks and resources within project teams.
• Collaborate with analog, firmware, system, validation, test, product, and marketing engineers to meet customer and performance requirements and support product qualification.
• Lead, mentor, and guide other engineers while improving verification methodologies and productivity.

Requirements

• B.Sc. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant industry experience.
• Knowledge of constrained-random verification using UVM, OVM, AVM, or VMM methodologies.
• Knowledge of object-oriented languages; SystemVerilog is preferred.
• Experience with programming or scripting languages including Python, TCL, Perl, or C.
• Working knowledge of PC and Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of digital verification methods, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and team skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment; self-motivated, creative, organized, thorough, detail-oriented, and able to multitask and prioritize simultaneous responsibilities.
