Senior Hardware Engineer (High-Performance Electronics)

Location: Ottawa March Road, Canada; onsite role

Annual base salary: CAD 76,300–122,000, plus discretionary annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deliver, validate, and sustain ultra high-performance electronic products.
• Own all aspects of electrical hardware design, including BOM creation, vendor negotiation support, circuit and board design, development, and validation.
• Provide technical leadership to a small design team when required.
• Support the full product lifecycle from inception and customer trials through volume production, field issues, and product sustaining.
• Collaborate with Hardware, ASIC, Signal, Mechanical, Thermal, Diagnostic, Packaging, and Manufacturing engineers.
• Interact extensively with partner engineering teams in joint development programs and support groups including Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Compliance, Safety, and Sustainability.

Requirements

• Experience with large, high-powered SoCs based on advanced silicon and packaging process technologies, including 2D, 2.5D, and 2.5D with 3D memories.
• Experience using precision scopes, analyzers, and development and validation tools.
• Experience addressing power and thermal issues associated with PCBs with 1kW+ footprints.
• Experience with high-speed and high-density signaling with SerDes rates of 112G+.
• Demonstrated lifecycle product ownership of complex products, including participation in cross-functional development from product inception to volume production.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 5+ years of related experience.
