Field Systems Integration Engineer (Networking)

Location: Remote within the United States, excluding North Dakota, Vermont, and Rhode Island. Travel up to 50% domestically and internationally is required.

Salary: $120,500–$190,000 annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $149,500–$224,500 annually.

What you will do

• Craft, implement, document, test, troubleshoot, and deploy Command and Control Network at-the-edge solutions.
• Support sophisticated customer demonstrations, field work, and communications programs for US Department of Defense and commercial customers.
• Diagnose communication system issues and provide architecture support for new integrated solutions.
• Maintain network communication protocols and evaluate emerging data networking technologies.
• Collaborate with program managers, hardware, software, and project engineers, and internal support organizations.
• Provide customer training classes on Command and Control Network products.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Cisco switches, routers, and ASA firewalls.
• 3+ years of experience in electronics integration, resolution, and diagnostics.
• Experience with Layer 2/3 network design, ESXi or KVM virtualization, and Linux-based systems.
• Knowledge of IPv4, 802.11b/g, GRE, ARP, MPTCP, MPVPN, and IPSEC protocols.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject or equivalent professional experience, plus CCNA certification or equivalent experience.
• US citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance are required. Experience training in a formal classroom environment and strong communication skills are also required.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certifications.
• Military communications systems, SATCOM, tactical radios, classified network enclaves, or high-assurance inline network encryptors.
• Automation scripting with Python, Bash, or Ansible and experience with Spirent or Ixia traffic generators.
• Cloud platforms such as Amazon, OpenStack, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Free Space Optics, Link 16, SADL, TRAX, JRE, or ADSI experience.
