What you will do

• Design and maintain enterprise Linux environments with standardized, hardened configurations.
• Implement advanced routing architectures including PBR, OSPF, and multi-homed network environments.
• Optimize Linux kernel parameters for high-throughput networking and low-latency VPN performance.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using SaltStack for system provisioning and compliance.
• Troubleshoot complex networking and OS issues using tools like tcpdump, Wireshark, and eBPF.
• Collaborate with network and platform engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure.

Requirements

• Must possess a current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
• 5+ years of experience in Linux Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years of advanced Linux networking experience (iproute2, VRFs, VLANs).
• 3+ years of VPN engineering experience (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPSec).
• 3+ years of SaltStack administration and automation experience.
• Strong proficiency in Debian/Ubuntu Linux, Python, and Bash scripting.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CNSA-compliant cryptographic implementations.
• Knowledge of eBPF-based observability tools.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCE, LFCE, or CCNP.
