Director of Product, Platforms & Operations

Location: New York City office with a hybrid schedule: in-office Monday–Thursday and remote Friday. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $150,000–$175,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Own product strategy and execution for internal platforms, tools, and workflow infrastructure.
• Lead discovery, architecture, and development of major systems initiatives, beginning with a unified event operating system.
• Configure tools directly, write queries, test APIs, and ship workflows alongside engineering.
• Apply AI, LLMs, agents, and automation to reduce operational complexity.
• Partner with engineering and data leads to define prioritized build requirements.
• Collaborate with events, revenue, editorial, audience, and finance teams to design coherent systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, including work on platforms, systems, or operations-focused products.
• Experience leading complex integrations across multiple tools and data systems.
• Technical fluency to prototype, debug, and make informed architecture decisions with engineers.
• Hands-on experience applying LLMs, agents, or workflow automation to real operational problems and shipping solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams while balancing immediate operational needs with strategic initiatives.
• Working knowledge of no-code or low-code tools such as Airtable.

Nice to have

• Experience in media, events, or another fast-moving, relationship-driven industry.
