Medical Assistant PRN (Primary Care)

Pay range: $21.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support primary care physicians and deliver an exceptional patient experience.
• Escort patients, prepare and stock exam rooms, review medical information, and collect updated health details.
• Take vital signs, draw blood, administer medications and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with clinical procedures.
• Perform scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, referrals, specialist coordination, and documentation.
• Process test results, communicate results as directed, and conduct patient outreach to improve engagement.
• Maintain clinical supplies and treatment equipment while collaborating on individual patient care plans.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration; certification or registration is required where mandated by the state.
• CPR/BLS certification required by the start date.
• Experience with phlebotomy is preferred.
