Project Manager IV- Launch (Aerospace)

Location: Launch sites in Sweden, Wallops, Vandenberg, and other emerging locations; up to 25% domestic and international travel required. Applicants must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

What you will do

• Develop project proposals, contract language, and business development inputs.
• Manage integrated master schedules, project budgets, risks, hazard analyses, and performance metrics.
• Own system-level hardware and software requirements during project implementation.
• Lead launch-site development through activation and operations, including feasibility studies and cost trades for new locations.
• Drive range safety compliance for orbital launch campaigns.
• Develop console-position training programs and track personnel certification.

Requirements

• 5+ years of project management experience on large, multidisciplinary projects in heavily regulated environments.
• 2+ years of detailed design or operations experience in aerospace, oil and gas, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Experience serving in a primary console position during orbital launch operations from a U.S. federal range.
• Working knowledge of launch vehicle and launch-pad development engineering requirements and orbital launch safety documentation.
• Experience leading launch-site development and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR.

Nice to have

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Project Engineering, or Aircraft Operations.
• 10+ years of project management experience and 5+ years of detailed design experience.
• Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, Siemens NX, Teamcenter, FAA Part 450, and PMP certification.
