Senior Project Manager (Space Systems)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA, United States. Applicants must be a U.S. Person—a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual—and must be eligible to obtain required export authorizations under ITAR and EAR regulations.

What you will do

• Coordinate schedules, budgets, resources, milestones, and reporting cycles across concurrent technical projects.
• Integrate project schedules and monitor critical paths, constraints, forecasts, and progress to recommend schedule recovery actions.
• Partner with engineering managers and technical leads to deliver scope, cost, schedule, and technical commitments.
• Develop work breakdown structures, integrated master schedules, program budgets, and risk postures.
• Create technical statements of work, vendor and subcontractor contracts, reports, documentation, and presentations.
• Lead technical proposals and multidisciplinary teams developing new spacecraft-related products and services while maintaining confidential information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience leading or supporting technical projects through life-cycle planning and execution.
• Experience developing project budgets, schedules, and risk plans while balancing resources across multiple projects.
• Experience working with engineering teams and building effective relationships across teams.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, problem-solving, communication, motivation, and influence skills.
• U.S. Person status and eligibility for required U.S. export authorizations are mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience with human-rated or mission-critical spaceflight systems and subsystems.
• Program management experience supporting government customers.
• Hands-on space system integration and testing experience, including cleanroom operations.
• Agile development experience and advanced MS Project skills.
• Experience using Confluence and Jira to manage tasks and products.
