Proposal Project Manager – Aerospace

Location: Pittsburgh, PA; on-site work is preferred, while remote work may be considered for strong candidates. Applicants must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual, and must be eligible to obtain required export authorizations.

What you will do

• Manage proposal development from kickoff through submission for NASA, Department of War, government, and commercial customers.
• Coordinate engineers, subject matter experts, technical writers, graphic designers, partners, and vendors.
• Develop and manage proposal schedules, statements of work, budgets, risk registers, and supporting content.
• Write project-management sections covering schedules, pricing justifications, risks and mitigations, project plans, supply chain, and facilities.
• Engage customers by communicating with contracting officers, attending industry days, submitting questions and answers, and monitoring solicitation portals.
• Track proposal compliance, run internal color reviews, and maintain templates, content libraries, and proposal archives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; relevant advanced study, internships, or experience may be considered.
• At least 4 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in project management.
• Experience managing hardware or software programs in aerospace or a related field.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and staggered deliverables.
• Strong communication, organization, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and common business applications.

• Experience managing or supporting government proposals.
• Experience with first-of-its-kind technical products or services.
• Customer, partner, vendor, or supply chain management experience in aerospace.
