Medical Assistant - St. Louis, MO

Pay: $21.00–$26.00 per hour

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare examination rooms, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Review medical information, collect updated health data, take vital signs, draw blood, administer injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations under provider direction and written orders.
• Support patient care plans, identify care gaps, coordinate referrals and specialist visits, and work with contracted laboratories.
• Perform reception duties including scheduling, check-in, check-out, medical record requests, documentation, and record abstraction.
• Process test results, communicate results as directed, and conduct patient outreach to increase engagement.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is strongly preferred and required where mandated by the state.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Ability to work onsite at the St. Louis, Missouri health center.
