Technical Program Manager, Product Planning (AI/Automotive)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, USA. Full-time hybrid role based in the Sunnyvale office, combining office and workshop time with work from home.

Salary: $171,600–$229,300 annually, plus a competitive equity package.

What you will do

• Develop, manage, and execute portfolio projects, initiatives, and business opportunities.
• Define value propositions, maintain product roadmaps, and set milestones aligned with long-term vision.
• Analyze product changes and dependencies across engineering, data science, operations, finance, and supply chain.
• Align business development, product management, finance, engineering, and operations around a single source of truth for product plans, data, and assumptions.
• Own the company risk register and build mitigation plans.
• Coordinate tactical plans, product lifecycle activities, financials, logistics, inventory levels, and pricing.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of program delivery experience leading software projects in fast-paced or early-stage environments.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to support recommendations.
• Technical fluency and comfort working with engineers and understanding systems without necessarily writing code.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and adaptation to change.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with, influence, and align senior stakeholders.
• Experience with productivity and BI tools such as Looker, Agentic AI, JIRA, and Confluence.

Nice to have

• Experience in autonomous vehicles, AI/ML, or automotive domains.
• Ability to work comfortably with ambiguity and across multiple organizational functions.
