TL;DR
Technical Program Manager (Space Systems) (Aerospace): Leading delivery of an advanced satellite system from system design through Initial Operating Capability with an accent on spacecraft integration, launch preparation, mission operations, and cross-functional execution. Focus on coordinating engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, ground systems, and customer stakeholders, managing critical-path risks, and preparing the mission for launch and sustained operations.

Location: Westminster, Colorado; must be a U.S. Person and a U.S. citizen.

Salary: $135,000–$180,000–$198,000 annually in Colorado, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

  • Lead technical program execution for the Vantage satellite system from design through launch, commissioning, and Initial Operating Capability.
  • Coordinate spacecraft development, payload integration, ground segment integration, launch preparation, mission operations, and customer activities.
  • Align engineering organizations, manufacturing teams, suppliers, contractors, and external partners around schedules, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Identify technical, schedule, and programmatic risks early and drive mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate integration and test campaigns, launch site activities, mission readiness reviews, LEOP, and on-orbit commissioning.
  • Maintain synchronization between technical, operational, business, and mission objectives.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and U.S. Person status are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management, systems engineering, or engineering leadership for complex aerospace or high-reliability hardware systems.
  • Experience delivering spacecraft, satellites, launch vehicle systems, or similarly complex multidisciplinary engineering programs.
  • Experience coordinating hardware, software, systems engineering, manufacturing, integration and test, mission operations, suppliers, and customers.
  • Strong understanding of spacecraft lifecycles, integration and test, launch activities, ground interfaces, operational readiness, schedules, risks, and critical paths.

Nice to have

  • Experience delivering complete space missions through Initial Operating Capability, including remote sensing, Earth observation, ISR, or national security missions.
  • Experience with spacecraft bus development, payload integration, commercial and government-furnished equipment, and space-to-ground interfaces.
  • Experience planning LEOP, on-orbit commissioning, mission rehearsals, and sustained operations.
  • Active U.S. Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
