What you will do

• Lead validation strategies and test plans based on product requirements, technical risk, customer impact, schedules, and market needs.
• Perform and lead lab-based bring-up, characterization, and interoperability testing for high-speed connectivity devices.
• Design test environments covering software, laboratory equipment, and validation boards.
• Analyze and communicate validation results, debug findings, and recommendations to project and management stakeholders.
• Drive cross-functional debugging and root-cause analysis, manage JIRA-based workflows, and support customer issue reproduction and escalations.
• Collaborate with Design, Verification, Applications, Marketing, Product Engineering, and Field Engineering teams while mentoring junior validation engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 12+ years of combined experience in high-speed digital, analog/mixed-signal, systems, power IC design, or testing.
• Experience leading teams of five or more direct reports and driving cross-functional teams and projects.
• Strong knowledge of electronic laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
• Strong communication, organization, hardware specification, collaboration, and independent working skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ethernet, USB 2.0/3.x, PCI-Express, or other high-speed connectivity protocols.
• Experience reviewing schematics and layouts for silicon validation or reference boards.
• Python-based automation for validation, data analysis, or laboratory equipment control.
• Experience with IC device characterization and silicon performance analysis.
