Senior Test Engineer (Electromagnetic Laboratory)

Location: Lawton, Oklahoma, United States. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required, with future security clearance requirements possible.

Salary: $124,600–$151,300 USD for roles hired in California.

What you will do

• Develop and own daily technical operations for two large anechoic chambers and associated RF test equipment.
• Lead and mentor a small team of test engineers.
• Execute RF, antenna OTA, and EMC measurements according to client statements of work and aerospace and defense standards.
• Develop Python and MATLAB automation scripts and automated test stands to optimize testing and data collection.
• Support clients in troubleshooting failures, analyzing data, and producing compliance-ready reports and certificates.
• Manage laboratory scheduling, project prioritization, calibration, and preventative maintenance while coordinating with the test engineering organization in Torrance, California.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 5–8 years of RF, antenna OTA, or EMC testing experience with a B.S., or 3–5 years with an M.S.
• Strong knowledge of RF, antenna OTA, and EMC test principles and proficiency with VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform and signal generators, power meters, AutoCal, and SOLT calibration.
• Understanding of aerospace and defense standards including MIL-STD-461 and DO-160.
• Experience with automated test stands, client-facing project management, technical communication, and mentoring engineers.
• Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• People management experience, including team development and roadmap definition.
• Experience certifying laboratories to ISO/IEC 17025 or AS9100.
• Experience in a multi-client or commercial test house environment.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-810, CISPR, IEC 61000, and automotive EMC standards.
• Object-oriented programming experience with Python.
