Senior Design Engineer (Web3)

Location: Remote from the United States or EMEA; applications from France, Italy, and Germany are not considered.

Salary: $149,000–$210,000 USD annually for US-based candidates; compensation outside the US is determined by location, experience, and skills.

What you will do

• Build pixel-perfect interfaces in React and React Native for MetaMask mobile and browser extension products.
• Design and implement animations, haptics, and micro-interactions using Rive, Lottie, or similar tools.
• Translate Figma designs into accessible, production-ready components with minimal handoff friction.
• Prototype quickly and test experiences with real users.
• Build agentic workflows and tooling that accelerate design-to-code and engineering work.
• Expand the MetaMask design system with reusable, accessible components across platforms.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating polished interfaces, motion, and detailed interactions rather than static screens only.
• Experience shipping high-traffic, consumer-facing products with React and React Native.
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript and TypeScript, cross-platform frontend architecture, state management, performance, and accessibility.
• Strong interaction-design and motion skills, including judgment about effective animations and haptics.
• Strong Figma literacy and the ability to work independently on a distributed team.
• Must be based in the United States or EMEA; candidates based in France, Italy, or Germany are not eligible for this role.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with crypto wallets, blockchain, or related Web3 products.
• Experience using agentic workflows in design or engineering.
