Network Engineer (SD-WAN)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; US citizenship required. Springfield, Virginia is listed as the company location. Active Secret clearance required, with interim clearance acceptable. Travel up to 25–30% may be required.

What you will do

• Provide hands-on network engineering support across multiple active projects.
• Deploy, configure, operate, and troubleshoot tactical networks and previously designed network solutions.
• Create network diagrams, data-flow diagrams, IP address plans, port and protocol matrices, and interface-control documents.
• Configure and troubleshoot routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, SATCOM, cellular, wireless, terrestrial WAN, and tactical-radio interfaces.
• Integrate technologies from multiple vendors and troubleshoot connectivity, DNS, authentication, and performance issues.
• Support field demonstrations, exercises, operational assessments, new-equipment fielding, and other customer events while escalating complex issues to senior engineers.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required; interim clearance is acceptable. US citizenship is required.
• Two or more years of experience in network engineering, cybersecurity engineering, information assurance, or a related technical field.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, network engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with SD-WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, wireless networking, enterprise network services, and systems integration.
• Ability to work independently on routine tasks, manage workload across concurrent projects, and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed, approximately up to 25–30%.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, or an equivalent vendor certification.
• Basic Linux knowledge and scripting or automation experience with Python, Bash, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Wireshark, packet capture, log review tools, and Zero Trust architectures.
• Military or government civilian experience in tactical communications, cybersecurity, or network operations.
