Network Engineer (Cisco)

Location: Sterling, Virginia, United States; field travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations for approximately 10% of the year.

Salary: $99,000–$206,000 per year.

What you will do

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, next-generation firewalls, security appliances, cabling, and other network devices.
• Develop and deploy distributed network architectures and support modernization of existing networks.
• Create network diagrams and rack elevations, recommend hardware and software solutions, and implement network monitoring.
• Work independently or with small teams while coordinating directly with installers and end users.
• Prepare and occasionally present technical reports.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco data networks and devices.
• Proficiency with Cisco IOS, IOS XE, IOS XR, NX-OS, FTD, ASA, and FMC.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and experience with diagramming applications such as Microsoft Visio.
• Willingness to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations 10% of the year.
• Flexibility to work independently, with small teams, and across a variety of IT tasks.
