What you will do

• Design manufacturing methods, operation sequences, processes, and production solutions for parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Develop cost estimates, capacity models, time standards, production layouts, tooling recommendations, and process requirements for new product introductions.
• Create operating procedures, safety protocols, and maintenance plans for large-scale manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose issues, recommend corrective actions, and drive continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with management, internal teams, and outsourced manufacturing and development partners on compliance, issue resolution, and manufacturing standards.
• Support manufacturing projects from new product introduction through end of lifecycle, including project leadership, reporting, and mentoring less-experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated competence.
• Typically 4–7 years of experience in engineering design and solutions, or a related field; an advanced degree with 3–5 years of experience may also qualify.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, manufacturing engineering, lean manufacturing, process improvement, tooling, automation, and new product development.
• Experience with data analysis, project management, supply chain, systems engineering, and engineering management.
• Ability to solve moderately complex problems independently, communicate effectively, and provide guidance to less-experienced staff.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Certification.
• APICS Certification.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology, Python, software development, or software engineering.
