Equipment Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering (Sarawak) (Manufacturing Automation): Supporting and optimizing substrate manufacturing equipment in the Kuching office with an accent on equipment stability, product quality, yield improvement, and process stability. Focus on troubleshooting automation equipment, integrating control systems and sensors, and using data analysis to improve equipment capability and OEE.
Location: Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia; onsite at the Sarawak Kuching Office

What you will do
- Provide equipment maintenance and troubleshooting support to manufacturing operations.
- Analyze equipment and operational data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Design, test, and implement automation solutions involving hardware and software.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturing automation and process performance.
- Integrate control systems, sensors, actuators, and programmable logic controllers.
- Document technical specifications, project progress, outcomes, and compliance information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Computer Science graduates with hardware exposure and interest are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience with technical report writing, field data collection, and equipment condition assessment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in operational environments.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and structural mechanics is advantageous.
Nice to have
- SolidWorks or equivalent engineering software experience.
- Programming or data analysis skills in MATLAB, Python, C++, or R.
