Data Migration Test Manager (Financial Services)

What you will do

• Lead data migration testing for a large-scale transformation moving a major Canadian bank from its existing Book of Record to the hirify.global target solution.
• Own the end-to-end data migration test strategy, including scope, phases, entry and exit criteria, and risk-based prioritization.
• Partner with migration, architecture, and platform teams to validate data mappings, transformation rules, load logic, and business outcomes.
• Oversee end-to-end migration testing and functional testing of migrated data ahead of dress rehearsals and cutover events.
• Manage reconciliation, validation, and data integrity testing for balances, positions, transactions, GLs, and regulatory outputs.
• Lead data-related defect management, root-cause analysis, retesting, traceability, audit evidence, status reporting, and testing metrics.

Requirements

• Strong professional testing background in financial services, preferably Canadian wealth management or banking.
• Extensive experience in client-facing test delivery or engagement roles and fast-paced Agile environments.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and tooling, including data flows from source systems to target platform components.
• Hands-on experience with functional and non-functional testing, test matrices, KPIs, SLAs, benchmarks, and data validation.
• Extensive experience with Jira, Xray, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex data clearly.

Nice to have

• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification.
• Experience with investment, wealth, life, or pensions products and related markets.
• Strong understanding of the regulatory environment in which hirify.global and its customers operate.
• Experience delivering services with nearshore and offshore teams.
