Testing Lead

Location: Hybrid in London or Ipswich, United Kingdom

Salary: £80,000–£90,000 per annum plus bonus

A major financial services organisation is expanding its technology function to support digital platforms and services.

What you will do

• Own and evolve the organisation-wide testing strategy, standards, and approach.
• Lead testing across multiple delivery projects and coordinate activities across delivery teams.
• Manage and develop testers, supporting performance and career growth.
• Ensure test environments are ready and collaborate with DevSecOps to resolve issues.
• Partner with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product teams to make requirements clear, testable, and quality-focused.
• Monitor defects, risks, testing performance, release readiness, and root causes of significant quality issues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software testing experience, including 2 or more years in a leadership or senior testing role.
• Strong experience with test planning, execution, regression testing, and UAT.
• Experience leading testers across multiple projects or delivery teams.
• Understanding of test automation frameworks and modern QA practices.
• Experience with JIRA, Xray, or similar test management platforms.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, FinTech, or another highly regulated environment.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps and secure software development practices.
• Experience with blockchain or digital asset environments.
• ISTQB or an equivalent testing qualification.
• Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
