Avionics Automation Test Engineer II

Location: Long Beach, California, United States. U.S. office candidates must meet ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Base pay: $85,000–$115,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead deployment and use of the internal test automation platform for future spacecraft programs.
• Support Assembly, Integration and Test campaigns using spacecraft testing software.
• Collaborate with systems, flight software, ground software, and operations teams to add features and manage deployments.
• Investigate and resolve software bugs and issues affecting other teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in the space industry, ideally with spacecraft testing, systems, or spacecraft software.
• 2+ years of programming experience in distributed applications.
• Experience with Linux.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• For U.S. office work, ITAR eligibility or the ability to obtain the required U.S. authorizations is required.

Nice to have

• Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, networking, IT, pytest, or Robot Framework.
