Senior Manager, Finance Supply Chain and Material Management (Aerospace)

Salary: $146,000–$220,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead the Supply Chain Finance team and set strategy for inventory financial planning, materials spend, and manufacturing and bill of materials cost analysis.
• Improve financial management across finance, supply chain, and materials management as vehicle bill of materials evolve.
• Establish frameworks for tracking inventory movements and aligning data with MRP systems.
• Oversee BOM-to-MRP comparisons and reconciliations, investigate variances between manufacturing consumption and BOM standards, and drive corrective actions.
• Build cost models incorporating cost-reduction curves, product blocks, flight units, discrete unit costs, and manufacturing scaling assumptions.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to validate BOM assumptions, cost drivers, and manufacturing rate projections.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in FP&A, Supply Chain Finance, or Cost Accounting in aerospace, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Deep understanding of MRP/MES systems, BOM structures, inventory management, and manufacturing cost accounting.
• Experience building complex financial models with cost-reduction curves, learning curves, and manufacturing scaling assumptions.
• Strong experience with variance analysis, cost reconciliation, root cause analysis, and resolving data integrity issues in ERP/MRP environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical-concept explanation skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with additive manufacturing, DED, or composite materials.
• Experience with manufacturing insourcing/outsourcing transitions and make-versus-buy analysis.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases for ERP data analysis and validation.
• Background in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.
