Director, People and Culture (SaaS)

Location: Hybrid, with on-site work every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the downtown Toronto office, Canada

Salary: CAD 150,000–170,000 base salary per year

What you will do

• Partner with the COO, senior leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders on organizational design, workforce planning, talent decisions, and team effectiveness.
• Coach managers and senior leaders on performance management, employee development, communication, engagement, and difficult conversations.
• Assess, design, and implement people initiatives covering talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, and organizational development.
• Guide leaders and employees through organizational growth, transformation, and change management initiatives.
• Strengthen employee experience through engagement, development, recognition, and retention programs.
• Lead and support the People and Office Operations team by setting priorities, creating clarity, removing obstacles, and improving organizational effectiveness.

Requirements

• Experience in HR business partnering with senior leaders in a technology, SaaS, digital media, or high-growth environment.
• Experience advising on organizational design, talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, and performance.
• Strong leadership coaching, communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
• Experience supporting organizations through growth, transformation, or significant change.
• Ability to balance strategic people initiatives with hands-on operational execution and business-focused judgment.
• Experience leading and developing small teams, including People and Office Operations functions.
