Senior Conflicts Analyst (New Business)

Location: San Francisco

Salary: $93,000–$135,000 annual pay range

What you will do

• Analyze and process standard, complex, high-volume, and bulk conflicts requests for firm engagements and hires.
• Prepare database search terms and conflicts reports, conduct corporate research, and confirm the identity of parties.
• Review conflicts reports and supporting documents to identify, analyze, and resolve actual or potential conflicts.
• Communicate with partners, counsel, attorneys, and business professionals to investigate issues, propose solutions, and provide clearance updates.
• Prepare conflict descriptions, request waivers, draft waivers and engagement letters, and maintain resolution notes.
• Research legal ethics and conflicts case law, implement ethical screens, advise on special circumstances, and provide conflicts training.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in a law firm, legal environment, or conflicts department, including 3+ years in conflicts or legal intake.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, and other firm applications after orientation at hirify.global LLP.
• Proficiency in IntApp Open and Contract Express or similar programs.
• Knowledge of the American Bar Association’s Model Rules of Professional Conduct and the California State Bar Association’s Rules of Professional Conduct.
• Overall understanding of a corporate law practice and the ability to conduct legal and corporate research.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, increasing ownership, autonomy, and the ability to mentor others.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize multiple tasks, handle time-sensitive matters, and work extended or weekend hours as required.
• Professional communication skills with attorneys, directors, and managers, plus excellent customer service skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or JD.
• Knowledge and experience with complete conflicts resolution.
• Paralegal certificate or completion of an ethics course in a paralegal program.
• Prior experience as a paralegal or legal researcher in a law firm.
