Assistant General Counsel

What you will do

• Provide legal, compliance, and risk management guidance across contract negotiation, employment, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, privacy, and litigation.
• Review legal data, conduct legal research, advise the Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel, and Associate General Counsel, and recommend appropriate legal action.
• Perform litigation for the company or coordinate litigation and other legal matters handled by outside counsel.
• Handle corporate organization, securities compliance, transactional documents, license agreements, employment and immigration law, data privacy, risk management, asset-backed financing, and contract management.
• Develop and negotiate complex inbound and outbound technology, software, and services licenses and commercial agreements.
• Support governance, compliance, conflicts, cybersecurity, contractual compliance, regulatory compliance, customer success, and special legal department projects through training and cross-functional partnership.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate with excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.
• License to practice law in at least one state, or the ability to obtain a license within a short period of time.
• Ability to work independently, drive tasks to completion with creative solutions, and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
