Senior Manager, Quality – Development Programs (R5315)

Aerospace and defense technology organization developing complex aircraft and autonomous systems.

What you will do

• Lead quality activities for the XBAT development program from prototype through production readiness.
• Establish quality strategy, objectives, metrics, and development quality processes aligned with program milestones.
• Embed quality requirements into architecture, design reviews, verification, validation, qualification, and configuration management.
• Lead risk management, FRACAS, root cause investigations, nonconformance reviews, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee quality for laboratory, ground, and flight-test activities, including anomalies, failures, test escapes, and qualification documentation.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Flight Test, and Program Management to transition products into low-rate initial production and future rate increases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, space, or another highly regulated industry.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical quality organizations.
• Experience supporting complex product development programs from concept through production transition.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, engineering development processes, aerospace manufacturing, risk management, reliability engineering, and failure analysis.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 and demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with UAV, aerospace, defense, aviation, autonomous systems, flight-test, or qualification programs.
• Background in systems, reliability, or development engineering.
• ASQ CQE, CMQ/OE, or equivalent certification.
• Familiarity with government defense programs and customer quality requirements.
