Senior Engineer I - Systems

Location: Boulder, Colorado, United States. US citizenship or qualifying permanent residency/protected individual status is required due to U.S. export controls.

Annual base salary: $70,304–$143,000 USD, plus bonus and equity components.

What you will do

• Engineer embedded systems and algorithms for time, position and RF communications.
• Define requirements, design and implement systems, and perform verification, testing and validation.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, FPGA and mechanical engineers to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering on new product introduction and release.
• Support System Integration with equipment installation at worldwide customer sites.
• Travel up to 15%, with the posting indicating a possible travel range of 0–25%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience with systems engineering, including requirements definition, design, implementation, verification and testing.
• Technical leadership experience and a record of detailed individual contribution.
• Experience with simulation, data processing and analysis using Python and/or MATLAB.
• Familiarity with digital test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and multimeters.
• US citizenship is required; proof of US citizenship, permanent US residency or protected-individual status may be required.

Nice to have

• Expertise in digital signal processing, control system design, linear system analysis or statistical classification algorithms.
• Linux/Unix experience and knowledge of microprocessors, memory devices and logic devices.
• Knowledge of precise timing components and applications, including oscillators, time measurement circuits and GPS receivers.
• Experience with government programs, formal documentation and design reviews.
• Current TS/SCI or DoD Top Secret clearance.
