Senior IC Validation Engineer (PCIe/Storage)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. Legal authorization to work in the US is required.

Annual base salary: USD 91,100–146,000, plus discretionary bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Construct, review, and execute validation test plans on emulation platforms and prototype silicon.
• Develop C/C++ embedded firmware, host software tools, and applications for low-level system validation.
• Create Python test scripts to control protocol exercisers and automate validation equipment.
• Collaborate with software, FPGA emulation, IC design, and board development teams across pre- and post-silicon validation.
• Debug system-level issues using firmware debuggers, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers, and implement solutions for complex problems.
• Support customer silicon bring-up, system integration, technical presentations, and engineering documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience with a master's degree in electrical or computer engineering, or 5+ years with a bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• Experience developing and debugging C/C++ code, preferably embedded firmware, system drivers, or host applications.
• Experience developing and debugging automated Python test scripts.
• Working knowledge of ARM architecture, firmware programming, computer architecture, Linux environments, PCB concepts, and board-level schematics.
• Practical system-level debugging experience and strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required.

Nice to have

• PCIe Gen3/4/5 experience, including LTSSM, system enumeration, and configuration space formats.
• Experience with ARM architecture and firmware programming.
