What you will do

• Perform end-to-end system simulations for high-speed optical interconnects, including SerDes, electrical and optical channels, packages, and optical transceivers.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance system-level simulation environments.
• Conduct laboratory measurements and correlate results with simulations for system validation, optimization, and performance evaluation.
• Analyze and resolve signal integrity issues involving crosstalk, attenuation, reflections, and discontinuities.
• Perform engineering validation testing and design validation testing.

Requirements

• PhD with 3+ years of experience, Master's degree with 5+ years, or Bachelor's degree with 5–10 years of experience in design validation and modeling for fiber-optical communication systems.
• Strong knowledge of optical communication components, including optical DSP, coherent DSP, high-speed modulators, receivers, transimpedance amplifiers, and RF amplifiers.
• Knowledge of optical communication impairments and compensation, signal integrity, amplifiers, and tunable filters.
• Understanding of RF/microwave engineering and photonics fundamentals.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python and experience with Keysight ADS, including IBIS-AMI, or MATLAB for system or channel simulation.
• Hands-on experience with optical and electrical test equipment, including optical spectrum analyzers, digital communication analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, wavelength and power meters, VNA, and TDR.
