AVP, Patient Access

Location: Remote - Nationwide, with weekly travel and onsite work at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require

Salary: $112,000–$160,000 annually based on experience, plus eligibility for annual incentives

What you will do

• Provide enterprise-wide strategic leadership and operational oversight for scheduling, registration, insurance verification, public benefits, and financial clearance.
• Lead modernization of Patient Access through goal setting, performance metrics, action plans, technology adoption, and standardized policies and processes.
• Manage multiple cost centers, budgets, staffing levels, resource planning, and operational priorities.
• Build and develop leadership teams, strengthen recruiting and retention, and promote accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Advise internal and external executive leaders using performance analysis, trend forecasting, and initiatives that reduce barriers and mitigate operational risk.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and revenue cycle requirements while traveling weekly within assigned markets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent education and work experience.
• 5+ years of Patient Access or Revenue Cycle leadership experience in a hospital or large health system.
• Experience managing multiple health systems; hospital experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success implementing strategic initiatives and aligning organizational goals with operational execution.
• Advanced use of AI, including translating AI initiatives into business outcomes and moving teams from experimentation to scale.
• Strong business acumen, executive presence, communication, critical thinking, change management, and diverse-team leadership skills.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of employment; hirify.global supports certification.
