Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer (C/C++)

What you will do

• Develop enhancements, updates, and changes for firmware subsystems, including application and driver-level code.
• Execute test plans, identify issues, and debug assigned firmware problems.
• Contribute to firmware design and development for reliable, cost-effective, high-quality enterprise printing products.
• Collaborate with internal, local, worldwide, and outsourced development partners on project progress and issue resolution.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Typically 4–10 years of professional experience.
• Expertise in firmware development using C/C++ and Assembly.
• Understanding of software, firmware, and hardware design principles, testing, coding, and debugging.
• Experience with source control and application lifecycle tools such as Git, Subversion, Jira, or TFS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Previous printer firmware development experience.
• Programming language certification in Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or a similar language.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology, DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, or full-stack development.
