Manager, Quality (Aerospace)

Location: Dallas, Texas; on-site

Salary: $130,000–$200,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular full-time employees.

What you will do

• Lead and improve the Quality Management System for V-BAT manufacturing in alignment with AS9100.
• Oversee quality across aircraft assembly, composite fabrication, avionics integration, mechanical assembly, inspection, and testing.
• Establish inspection plans, acceptance criteria, manufacturing controls, and calibrated measurement processes.
• Monitor defects, escapes, rework, scrap, MRB activity, and yield to improve build quality and throughput.
• Own nonconformance disposition and drive corrective and preventive actions through closure.
• Build and mentor a quality organization while partnering with Production, Supply Chain, and Engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5–10+ years of quality experience in aerospace, defense, UAV, aviation, or complex electromechanical manufacturing.
• At least 3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience with low-rate, high-mix manufacturing environments and production-floor operations.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and support customer and regulatory audits.
• Must work on-site in Dallas, Texas.

Nice to have

• AS9100 internal or lead auditor certification.
• Familiarity with defense contracting and customer quality requirements.
• Experience implementing quality systems in scaling manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MES systems and quality data analysis tools.
