Manager, Quality Management System (Aerospace)

Salary: $117,500–$161,600 base pay annually

What you will do

• Author, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System, including manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA 14 CFR § 21.137 requirements across multiple hirify.global sites.
• Serve as the primary quality liaison with the FAA during Production Certification, conformity inspections, and airworthiness certificate activities.
• Establish standardized audit programs, cross-site corrective action processes, and quality leadership structures.
• Lead internal, external, AS9100 certification, and FAA surveillance audits.
• Own CAB and RCCA processes, quality KPIs, dashboards, budget management, and integration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Flight Operations, Certification, and Safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience leading quality teams in aerospace or another regulated industry.
• Experience hiring, leading, and managing salaried and hourly employees.
• In-depth experience implementing AS9100 certification and knowledge of AS9102, AS9103, and AS9145.
• Experience leading CABs, RCCA, audits, FMEA, SPC, APQP, receiving and in-process inspection, product quality engineering, and quality inspection technology deployment.
• Work authorization sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Experience building real-time organizational dashboards.
• Flight line testing experience and experience working with the FAA during Production Certification.
• AS9100 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Black or Green Belt, or ASQ CQM/CQA certification.
• Experience leading teams across multiple sites and experience with airworthiness assignment or customer aircraft acceptance.
