TL;DR

Manager, Quality Management System (Aerospace): Establishing and governing the quality framework for the first certified all-electric aircraft with an accent on AS9100 and FAA regulatory compliance. Focus on building a unified QMS across multiple sites, leading FAA surveillance audits, and driving systemic resolution of nonconformances through RCCA.

What you will do

  • Author and maintain QMS procedures ensuring compliance with AS9100 and FAA 14 CFR § 21.137 across all sites.
  • Act as the primary quality liaison with the FAA during Production Certification and airworthiness activities.
  • Govern a unified QMS framework including standardized audit programs and cross-site corrective action processes.
  • Lead internal and external audits with AS9100 certification bodies and FAA surveillance.
  • Own the Corrective Action Board (CAB) and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) process for systemic resolution of nonconformances.
  • Define and report quality KPIs to senior leadership via real-time dashboards and Monthly Operations Reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial).
  • 7+ years of experience leading quality teams within aerospace or other regulated industries.
  • In-depth understanding of AS9100, AS9102, AS9103, and AS9145.
  • Experience hiring and managing both salaried and hourly employees.
  • Direct experience establishing CABs and supporting MOR quality reviews with senior leadership.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • AS9100 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Black/Green Belt, or ASQ CQM/CQA certification.
  • Experience with flight line testing and FAA Production Certification processes.
  • Experience establishing real-time organizational dashboards.
  • Background in airworthiness assignment and customer aircraft acceptance.
