What you will do
- Own and sustain silicon and oxide dry etch processes for high-volume manufacturing and new product introduction.
- Optimize processes, reduce defects, improve yield, and strengthen process robustness using data analysis, DOE, and continuous improvement methods.
- Investigate process excursions, yield losses, and defectivity issues, then implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop process control plans, SPC monitoring, OCAPs, specifications, and process documentation.
- Lead process characterization, qualification, and release activities for new products, materials, consumables, and process changes.
- Collaborate with Process Integration, Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, Quality, and Product Development teams, while providing technical guidance to technicians and manufacturing personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
- 2β5 years of hands-on semiconductor wafer fab experience in dry etch process engineering.
- Strong knowledge of plasma etching fundamentals, including silicon etch, oxide etch, and profile control.
- Experience with process development, characterization, DOE, SPC, statistical data analysis, yield improvement, and defect reduction.
- Experience with process troubleshooting using 8D, DMAIC, root cause analysis, or similar engineering methodologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, documentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of process control systems, FDC, APC, SPC, and process monitoring methodologies.
- Familiarity with semiconductor process integration and interactions between dry etch and upstream or downstream process modules.
