TL;DR
Technical Program Manager – Product Launch (Nuclear Energy): Leading advanced microreactor products from conceptual design through launch and high-volume manufacturing with an accent on cross-functional execution, readiness tracking, and risk mitigation. Focus on coordinating engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, licensing, and construction teams, resolving complex technical issues, and managing change across design and manufacturing.

Location: Based in the United States and willing to work on-site in Austin, TX

hirify.global develops factory-fabricated microreactors to deliver scalable, reliable, and affordable nuclear power, beginning with the 10 MWe hirify.global-1 reactor.

What you will do

  • Lead the product lifecycle from conceptual design through launch and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Align Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Licensing, and Construction around priorities, milestones, and decision points.
  • Identify program risks involving technology, requirements, schedule, budget, and staffing, then drive mitigation plans.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement with the DOE, NRC, national laboratories, commercial partners, and other external organizations.
  • Lead make-versus-buy decisions, change management, and issue resolution across design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
  • Track program progress, manage dependencies, and remove execution roadblocks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program management experience in nuclear, energy, or other advanced technology industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience is considered.
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience applying first-principles thinking to technical and programmatic problem solving.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex projects on aggressive timelines and lead in ambiguous, evolving environments.
  • Must be based in the United States and willing to work on-site in Austin, TX; applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Persons compliant with 10 CFR Part 810.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with the DOE, NRC, or other regulatory bodies.
  • PMP or similar project/program management certification.
